Love....

Good afternoon lovees! It's such a lovely day! Another day to be a blessing to others!! Another day above ground to be thankful for!

Love is such a crazy thing! A many splendored thing if you will! The Bible says love is patient and kind. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. That's what love should look like biblically. But I think we can go a little further. Love should be a promise. And I believe it should look like this...

A promise to be a lover when we need to be loved. A doctor when we are sick. A soldier when we need to go to battle. An umbrella to keep us dry when life pours down. A rock when we are weary. A shield when we need a defender. A spirit when ours is drained. A pillow for when we need rest. A voice when we cannot use our own. An ear when no one else will listen. A comfort in times of pain. A hero when we find ourselves in need of saving. A ray of sunshine when darkness comes. An answer when questions arise. An inspiration to overcome obstacles. A hand to hold throughout life's journey. A set of strong arms to hold us when we are frightened. A kiss to wake you each and every day. And the I love you to end each and every night.

This my friends is what true love looks like. If you don't have it now, keep searching. If you do have it now, thank God everyday for the blessing you've been given! Don't ever accept less than this, as this is what pure, true, agape love is.
