Good morning lovees! I just love morning, don't you? It's a brand new day! A chance for a do over! A new chance to inspire others! This morning, when I got up, it was dark and foggy out! Kinda eery. But then, the fog gave way and the sun came out and is shining bright!! Life is like that. Sometimes, we have to wait for the fog to clear so we can see the sun!! Whatever you're going thru, have faith, hold on, the sun/Son is coming! Have a blessed day friends!!! Love and hugs...

Be a blessing...
Good morning lovees!! It's It's a beautiful Monday!! So thankful to have another day to be a blessing!! The last 2 days at work have been GREAT!! I just LOVE doing what I do! I do enjoy helping people love the skin they're in...literally! Lol!! Tho you may not be an Esthetician, you too can help someone feel good about themselves! Be an encouragement to someone today. Tell someone they look beautiful! You never know whose life/heart you may touch today. The woman you call beautiful, may have berated with negativity before leaving the house today. The man you encourage, may have lost his job/family and you could be all the hope he sees today. You just never know. Show some love and compassion. Be kind. Be a blessing. Have a STUPENDOUS day friends!!! Love and hugs...

Fashionista = Snob?
So today, I want to talk about being judged, by the clothing you wear, the bag you carry, the shoes on your feet, your hairstyle, your nails, your ring(s) on your finger(s), the car you drive, etc... It's happened to me on more than a number of occasions. How about you? Sometimes, you can tell just by the stares. Other times, it's the way people treat you. And sometimes, folks will just comment, often foolish things. It can be downright hurtful!
I, like many of you, LOVE fashion! I love to put together pieces that make me feel confident and beautiful! However, I do NOT, EVER, look down upon, or judge anyone else for not wearing something as fancy as I may wear. So, why then, do they judge me? No, I do not think I am the next housewife of anywhere! No, I do not have more money than God just to spend on fashion. No, I do not think I am better than anyone else. No, I am not looking for attention or approval. I dress for me. I dress in what I want to feel...beautiful! Nothing more, nothing less.
As a child, my mother taught me the "rules" of fashion. Lol! Match my handbag with my shoes. No white after labor day. And many others. She has always said that she is often overdressed no matter where she goes. I too feel that same way at times. Still tho, I am thankful my mother taught me the principles of dressing well.
I like to look put together! I love makeup and lashes and will find any excuse to wear them wherever I can! (I am an esthetician for goodness sake!) I love high heels as well as flats. I love costume jewelry as well as my Pandora bracelets. I love my Michael Kors bags as much as my off brand clutches. My Sperry shoes as much as my no names. All of this does not equal snob.
Let's stop judging one another and just start loving each other! Uplift each other! The older I get, the more I realize the importance of encouragement! Especially among women! So go out there today and be you! Be the most amazing version of you that you can be! Whether your outfit today came from the local Goodwill store or Saks Fifth Ave, wear it proud and with confidence! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!
love...

Subscriptions...
I am finally getting a chance to look at the goodies I got prior to committing to No Shop January(which is going to be WAY harder than I thot!!) I subscribed to two different subscriptions...Julep, which is makeup and polish, as well as Rocksbox, which is Jewelry. WOWZERS!!! Let's take a look at Rocksbox first....
OMG!! BEAUTIFUL jewelry, personlized just for me, and delivered right to my door step! Who'd have thunk it? Rocksbox did, that's who! WOW! Such amazing pieces that I can either choose to keep and purchase for myself, or send back in the box, in trade for a whole new box of jewelry! How amazingly cool is that?? And just look at the pieces....

Rainy days and Mondays....
Hello lovees!! I'm a little late in the day blogging, I realize, but I have a good excuse! Today, my "baby" turned 14! I can hardly believe it! Where does the time go? I'm so honored and lucky to be his mama! Hard to believe in a few years we will be empty nesters! Not sure I'm ready!
Today, was just a lazy day as it was, and still is, nothing but rain! What do you do on a rainy day? How bout some dreaming? Yep, that sounds perfect to me! But not just any kind of dreaming...I'm talking about goal oriented dreaming! Planning out what my next moves will be...financially, career wise, business wise, etc. I want 2015 to be amazing!! And am putting plans in the works to make it so!!
Hope you had a STUPENDOUS day despite the weather where you are! What do you do on a rainy day?
Love and hugs...

Confessions of a Shopaholic....
Happy New Year my fellow fashionistas! I hope this post finds you well! It's a new year, and that brings us a fresh slate to start anew. I have ignored my blog for so very long, mostly because of feeling inadequate, but also in part because of laziness. Both things I wish to change in this new year!
I started a major clean up of my bedroom today...WOWZERS!!!! First, I realized I'm a tad messy. Ok, ok, maybe this wasn't a new revelation...lol!! BUT, I also realized something else...I have issues, with shopping!!! That in and of itself isn't a bad thing, but I feel it necessary for me to dig a little deeper. What is the reason for my shopping addiction? Is it purely for the fashion, or is there more to it? Sadly, I believe my addiction is about far more than the fashion finds. Have you ever seen the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic? There's a part in the movie where she is in rehab, for shopping, and describes the feeling she gets when shopping...
LOL! Such a cute, funny movie! But, even Rebecca Bloomwood had to do some soul searching. In the end she sold her goods and found true love!
How many of you can relate as well? Do you ever look at a fellow blogger's post and think...oooooohhhhh I NEED that? Or how about Pinterest? Ever go on there, pin an outfit, then become obsessed with finding those pieces? It is so easy to do!
I have read a few blogs the past few days that have said they were doing no shop January! At first I thot... YIKES, how can one do that! Well, after sorting thru clothes that need put away and realizing I had not 1 but three faux fur vests(just that need put away, there are a few more already in the closet), 2 quilted vests(yep, also more in the closet) approximately 10 hats(yep, you guessed it...), and scarves a plenty...perhaps I too could benefit from a no shop January!! I do need to buy a planner to get organized for the year, but I am going to do my very best to not shop for fashion this month! Instead, I will try to focus on my blog, my businesses, my career, my schooling, my health, my spirituality, my daughter's upcoming wedding, some reading, my cooking, my finances(which will certainly appreciate me not shopping!) and of course, my family!!
Wishing you all the best this new year!
love and hugs...
Connie
