Who am I?

Good morning lovees!!

What a blessing it is to wake up each day! Thank you God for another day! Thank you God for all of my blessings big and small! Thank you God for loving me in spite of all my flaws. For who am I? That question resonates with me today...

Who am I? I am not defined by my past. Not the mistakes or the successes. I am not defined by the clothes I wear. Or how many are in my closet. I am not defined by the shoes I wear. Whether they be high heels or cowgirl boots. I am not defined by the bag I carry, designer label or otherwise. I am not defined by the jewelry I wear, be it exquisite or costume. I am not defined by my nails or hair. Or my body shape or weight. So what am I defined by?? MY HEART!!! When you look at me, the only thing I want you to see is my heart. My love for others. My compassion for others. My empathy for others. These are the things I want to be defined by. My exterior is but a shell that will one day fade. But my heart, my heart will beat strong. Even after I'm gone...in my children and grandchildren.

Think today about what defines you. If what defines you currently, isn't what you want others to see, then perhaps you have some work to do.
