Watching the Bethenny show, she had James Blunt on as a guest. He performed his new song, Bonfire Heart. Well, the first two lines of the song say this..."your mouth is a revolver, shooting bullets in the sky". It got me thinking...
Our mouths really are like revolvers! I wonder just how many of us realize this? Do we realize just how dangerous that little demon can be? How much damage we can cause with it? It truly does shoot off bullets, not usually to the sky, but more often at those we know and love. Tho it be a tiny little muscle, it is quite strong and hard to tame! Thus the reason we need to be careful of the ammunition we keep on hand....be careful not to keep bitterness, anger, hatred, hostility, malace, jealousy, etc. on hand. Instead, keep love, patience, kindness, hope, faith, charity, did I mention love?
Be careful with your "gun" and how you use it! Use it for good as often as possible!! Lift someone up, empower them with your words. Show them loving kindness with the words that you express. Exude patience even when you have none left. At all times, love, love, love!!
